Before graduating from college or university many students think that it is very simple to find a job of a dream, only because they have higher education received in one of the most prestigious colleges. In fact, searching for a good job is a rather difficult task that requires certain efforts. In this case, career planning may become very useful. Start you career planning with the following steps:

Make career planning annually. Even if you already have a job, it is very useful to make the career planning every year. Try to sum up all your achievements attained during the year. It gives the opportunity to compare the level of your development and personal growth.

Plan the path of your career. Once you have decided to make a career planning it is necessary to start mapping out your career and job. You should think over your past and reflect all your strong and weak points, which helped you to succeed in the past in order to use them correctly in future.

Define your likes and dislikes. As we know everything and everybody changes. The same is going on with our likes and dislikes. For example, those things, which you liked two years ago, may seem boring and uninteresting now. That is why it is advisable to make the list of things, which you like and dislike in job in general and then compare it with the peculiarities of the job you plan to get.

Examine your leisure time. Career planning also deals with the time that you spend out of work. You should consider what kind of activities you would like to have in a free time and then define whether they are possible whiles you are busy with your job. Very often the way of spending free time can predetermine the choice of future career. So, as you see, it is advisable to think over both, job and leisure as well.
